Dr Boris Malyugin (Russia)

• Chairman, ISMSICS Chapter, Russia 

Boris Malyugin is a Deputy Director General of the S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Institution, Moscow (Russia). He is the current President of the Russian Ophthalmology Society (since 2016), International Intraocular Implant Club and Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis member, International Council of Ophthalmology Board of Trustees member, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, Honorary Member. Dr. Malyugin is a world-renowned authority in the field of anterior segment surgery. He is well known for his development of the Malyugin Ring. He was included in the Power List of Top 100 eye doctors in the world by The Ophthalmologist in 2018, 2022, and 2022. Dr. Malyugin has received the highest honors for an anterior segment surgeon from the following international and national organizations: ISRS (Kritzinger Medal), ASCRS (Binkhorst Medal), UKISCRS (Pearce Medal), ESCRS (Binkhorst Award), HSIOIRS (Kelman Award), SOI (Scarpa Medal), BRASCRS (Kelman Medal), AAO (Achievement Award). In total, Dr. Malyugin has delivered more than 15 named lectures and was invited to participate in live surgery sessions during many national and international meetings. He published extensively in peer-reviewed literature and made contributions to the video journals and atlases of ophthalmic surgery.

Dr Huda Al Dhaheri (UAE)

Dr. Huda Al Dhaheri is a consultant in Cornea, Cataract & Refractive. She obtained her medical degree from United Arabi Emirates University (UAE) and completed her residency training at King Saud University and Saudi Board in Ophthalmology in 2013. She completed her advanced subspecialty training at King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) in Riyadh-KSA, where she joined the Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery fellowship program. She received her FRCS degree from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and fellowship of the international Council of Iphthalmology (FICO) in in 2014. Dr. Al Dhaheri joined Tawam Hospital in 2016 and established Cornea Services for Al-Ain Region. Currently, she is the Division Chair for Ophthalmology Department at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abudhabi – UAE.
