Objective
By the end of this webinar, participants should be able to:

Understand and differentiate various neuro-oculo-cutaneous disorders.
Treat ocular manifestations of these disorders.
Be a part of multidisciplinary approach for evaluation and management in order to reduce or prevent the potentially vision or life threatening complications of these disorders.

Dr. Girish Velis

Dr Velis is a consultant Vitreo Retina Surgeon at the department of Ophthalmology at Goa Medical College and Hospital (Goa, India). He did his medical education from Seth GS Medical college and King Edward Memorial Hospital (Mumbai, India) followed by Ophthalmology residency and fellowship in vitreo retina from Aravind Eye Care System (Pondicherry, India). He is actively involved in scientific research and academics with 12 publications in peer reviewed journals, two chapters in a book and multiple communications at national and international conferences. His work on Ophthalmia Nodosa was awarded with best physical poster at the congress of All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOC) in 2017. His work on ocular tuberculosis, acute retinal necrosis, ocular toxoplasmosis and XNIT (a new technique of SFIOL surgery) was highly appreciated and well attended at the recently concluded congress of the European Society of Retina Specialists (EURETINA 2019).

Organized in conjunction with the Goa Ophthalmology Association (GOA), an All India Society affiliated society.

Al finalizar la presentación el participante estará en capacidad de:

Indicar una tomografía de coherencia óptica aplicada en neurooftalmología en aquellos casos que sea de utilidad;
Distinguir un estudio normal de uno anormal;
Correlacionar los hallazgos del estudio con otros parámetros de exploración y estudios oftalmológicos complementarios;
Enumerar las aplicaciones actuales y futuras de la Tomografía de coherencia óptica en el terreno de la Neurooftalmología.

Ex presidenta de la Asociación Mexicana de Neurooftalmología, miembro de la Sociedad Mexicana de Oftalmología, Consejo Mexicano de Oftalmología y Asociación Panamericana de Oftalmología.
