Description & Objectives:

Join IAPB’s Director of Capability Building, Anna McKeon, for an engaging update on IAPB’s work to drive progress in global eye health through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and new ways of thinking. As we work toward the goals of 2030 In Sight, this session will explore how building collective capability—across clinical, public health, and policy spaces—can help us address shared challenges and drive sustainable change.

Through the session, participants will:

Gain an understanding of key initiatives and recent developments in global eye health, including progress and ongoing challenges.
Identify core skills and mindsets that can help individuals and organisations drive progress on global eye health.
Engage with systems thinking concepts and consider how they can be applied to strengthen strategies and decision-making.

Ms. Anna McKeon (England)

Anna McKeon is Director of Capability Building at IAPB, where she leads initiatives that support learning, collaboration, and systems thinking across the global eye health community. With a background in international development and public engagement, Anna brings a unique perspective on how diverse actors, including clinicians, program leaders, advocates, and policymakers, can work together more effectively to improve eye health outcomes and strengthen systems. Her work focuses on practical, inclusive approaches to building shared capability for change.
